Obama’s Planning On Selling Out the Country To The Ruskies—Tune In To Fox Tonight For Details

Taking time out from paling around with the money she has made fleecing fellow Foxish-conservatives, Sarah Palin said this about Obama’s chit-chat with Dmitry Medvedev (the more-flexibility-after-the election comments):

Whoever chooses to merely dismiss the significance of today’s exchange between our president and Russia’s president should have their intelligence and patriotism questioned. Let this exchange be a warning to voters: President Obama will have ‘more flexibility’ to weaken us if he’s re-elected in November.

Question the “intelligence and patriotism” of Hussein Obama supporters? Of Hussein Obama himself? Now, who would go and do a thing like that?  I guess we’ll just have to wait for this evening’s Fox lineup to find out.

Stay tuned for the details.

Oh, one more thing. What else is Barack Obama not telling us he’ll do after he’s elected? Huh?

I’m guessing that question will come up a time or two tonight on the Fair and Balanced Network.

When I write about those folks I always put News in quotes, as: Fox “News.” Seems appropriate to me.

  2. This line of attack seems to be increasing in frequency. Even, if you don’t buy that Obama’s been a disaster, well he’s going to be much worse when he’s less constrained by re-election concerns.

Then what will Rick Santourum do in his second term??? I think you can plausible argue he really would like to see birth control made illegal, even if he won’t say so.

    • Bruce,

One problem with the Obama-will-be-unrestrained-in-a-second-term argument is that there is nothing in his temperament that would make that a plausible scenario. He is one of the most restrained presidents we have had in a good bit.

But the truth is that this argument, like many political arguments, is rooted in fear. It is hard to sell the Obama has made us less safe nonsense. And the economy appears to be on the mend. So, guess what? He will sell us out in his second term! How ’bout that ladies and germs?

    • Bruce the economist:

Considering the catastrophe – which aftershocks will remain in play for years to come – this administration has been able to salvage some of the ruins sofar. Starting two wars, and distributing rich bonuses to rich families and friends on credit was insane. In his book: “Impostor, how George W. Bush bankrupted America …..”,
Bruce Bartlett poses the question: “Is ENRON a metaphor for Bush’s economic policy?”. But don’t scrutinize only chapter 6, read the book in its entirety. Realize then that this administration is still trying to make the best of things with a “NONONONONONON” (of it)
      congress.

No kidding, she actually called Obama “Our President”? She was aware Medvedev is the President of Russia and not the Tzar? That’s what I call progress!

    • On a clear day, she can actually see the Russian president from the tall pile of money she has “earned” by quitting her job as governor of Alaska.

Foreign policy, long term and sustaining American foreign policy should NOT be a partisan issue, period.

I recommend a good book for all you pithy commenters on such matters. “No One’s World” by Charles Kupchan. You can find a writeup with more to come “over there” on my own blog.
